What does the 4th of July mean to you? How are you celebrating?
Today is my nephew's birthday. He is turning 14. I haven't seen him in 13 years, but I always think of him on his birthday.
How green is your school, office, or home?
Probably not as green as they could be. It's difficult to justify investing in eco-friendly accoutrements for a rental property, and unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I don't call the shots in my office. I suppose the whole thing makes me sound kind of noncommittal and unwilling to take responsibility, and I suppose I'd have to agree with you if you said so too. I don't actively seek to waste electricity, I turn off lights when I leave a room, and I turn off the faucet when I'm brushing my teeth. But honestly, I can't see myself hiking up a ladder to put solar panels on the roof of a duplex someone else owns. I'm sure I'll take a more active role when I own my own home.

Chicago would like to be the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Do you like this idea? Why or why not?
Submitted by Chicago Shadow.I guess my only question would be the logistics. Does Chicago have the resources to host the Summer Olympics? If so, I don't have a problem with it.
How are you a better person today than you were ten years ago?
