QotD: Olympics in Chicago?

Chicago would like to be the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Do you like this idea? Why or why not?

I guess my only question would be the logistics. Does Chicago have the resources to host the Summer Olympics? If so, I don't have a problem with it.

I think it would be awesome if it were Lake Erie. I vote Cleveland hosts the next one after Chicago.

Every year (or 4 years or whatever), Cincinnati bids to be the US host that's submitted to the IOC. And every year, they're the first city eliminated. The thought of a rowing race being interrupted on the Ohia river by a barge will never come true.
